Recently, a new restaurant popped up in uptown that recently had a soft opening. Chris Pardo(designer of Arrive Hotel) designed this new restaurant and I had been waiting and waiting for them to open so Grant and I could check it out. We LOVE sushi and Grant loves whiskey so I knew it would be a match made it heaven for us. And yes it is!

We were first sitting at a table but then decided to sit at the bar instead. We knew one of the bartenders - Cameron. He served us a couple of delicious specialty cocktails. Their menu is like a fan with drinks on one side and food on the other.

Then we ordered food! Sushi, sushi, sushi! Everything was delicious. I think my favorite would have to be the venue roll. We get it with raw salmon instead of seared(I have a weird thing about salmon where I only eat it raw). My only complaint would be that I wish the appetizer was bigger! I wanted more!

I love this new swanky sushi bar! Glad to add a great new restaurant to the desert!

I have been meaning to check out this famous hot dog place, and finally got the chance! It’s known in the desert for being featured on Diners, Drive-in and Dives ! And speaking of that show, another great spot they featured is Wilma and Frieda’s. It’s a great brunch spot! I will be writing a post about their food soon!

Ok, back to the hot dogs! I got their chili cheese dog! A classic done right. They Homemake their all beef chili topped with onions and lots of cheese!

Grant tried ”Frankie goes to Chicago” - sausage topped with pickled spears, tomatoes, peppers, celery salt, onions, mustard, and relish and a bun. He must have enjoyed it because I looked over and his plate was clean! Good thing I captured a quick snap before hand!

I definitely recommend Frankinbun for a great lunch spot!

Have you tried Frankinbun? Let me know what you bought in the comments!
