Airbnb Tour - POSH Inn

September 13, 2015

I was very fortunate to get the opportunity to become a verified photographer for Airbnb. Its a national company and thanks to a mutual friend, and the limited photographers in the Greater Palm Springs area, I got the opportunity. Its been about a month since I became a photographer for them and I’m loving every minute of it! Its great to have the freedom of setting up the times with the host and submitting the photos online. I’ve never even met anyone who worked for Airbnb, just the hosts I deal with. It’s a great way to get me some extra spending money, and I do love interior design and since its Palm Springs, many of the places are my favorite style – Mid-Century Modern. I’ll be posting some reviews on some of the places I’ve photographed with links so if you’re looking to escape to the desert, you’ll know some of my favorite Airbnb’s to stay at.

I’ve only heard amazing things from each host I’ve talked to about Airbnb and how easy and great its been to give them extra money and meet interesting new people. So if you're interested in staying somewhere new soon, or looking to host your place, sign up using my code! You’ll get $30 towards your first trip! click here!

Here’s one I shot recently for a small 9-room hotel in Palm Springs near downtown:

The owner and host, Tony, is such a sweet guy. It has ample parking outside off the street and when you go up to the door there is a door bell to get into the oasis behind. It reminds me of something from Greece, with the white walls. The room I photographed for Airbnb was their “deluxe suite”. As soon as you enter, you have a remote on the door allowing you to control the a/c and the fan/lights to your personal preferences. The walk in closet was a nice touch, with a sink and mini fridge, as well as two comfy bathrobes, probably my favorite thing about staying in a hotel room. The location is amazing. You’re very close to downtown but kind of in a little oasis of adorable mini hotels and chic small apartment complexes called the El Mirador Neighborhood. All in all a great place to stay and I definitely recommend it! Click on the image above and see more photographs I shot. My photos are labeled “verified”.
